Holidays, Trips to Scotland and UK 2022. Your Impressions

Alright then, a few of you from outwith the UK have made trips this year(2022) to Scotland and the UK. Some I know, have reported back in to this website, but not all. I would be very interested to hear your views, kilt stories, pictures, impressions, likes, dislikes, nice surprises and well, disappointments. I find it very informative that you might, might not see the UK as I see it. So come on chaps, lets hear your stories.

I'll reply later with a more comprehensive post, but here are the only two pictures I took that relate to Highland Dress. One is from a weavers shed on Lewis and the other is from the Stornoway airport before I flew to Kirkwall. I was interested to note Loganair's use of tartan and even a pseudo-clan crest on their planes. I did see a utility kilt in London and what I think was a kilt from 21st Century Kilts in Edinburgh. Only two or three others where seen by me and one was worn by a piper on the Royal Mile. The lack of kilts was not a surprise to me.
