I do love the St. Patrick tartan. I've got a Sport Kilt in it. Wish I could get a little nicer one in P/V.

Visit to Scotland a week ago friday.
Resized_20230908_130401.jpeg/Friday.
Had planned a 3 week trip to Scotland for the summer this year, but none of the stars aligned. Lost SIL to cancer, grandsons pasport expired, etc... went to Sequoia National park and on the way back we stopped in Scotland! ...

Last work day...
Friday, I finally retired from work.
I wore my Scottish National kilt at work, as it represents FREEDOM!

Tgikf 12 jan 2024
This elder's night vision has declined to a point that I reached the decision to start using ride sharing services. I wanted to do a "test ride" in the 'daylight' so I turned it in to a TGIKF Adventure. I choose to wear my Newsome Single Box Pleat XMTS tartan kilt.

My trip would be to the Historic Fredericksburg downtown for lunch at my favorite restaurant offering vegan/vegetarian food, Sammy T's.

As it was this Friday was the 247th Anniversary of the death of the American Revolution hero. General/Doctor Hugh Mercer from his wounds recieved in the battle of Princeton. I visited his monument and stopped by his Apothecary and chated with the docents.

My first Uber driver turned out to be a Campbell and we had a brilliant conversation. The hostess at Sammy T's commented to me as she gave me a menu, "I love your attire by the way." When departing the restaurant, I caught the eye of a "mature elegant looking" lady staring at me, whom I gave a wink and nod. An excellent TGIKF Adventure.

Kilted Friday, Not!
Happy Rabbie Burns Day! Met up with one of my prior BOD members with Scottish ancestry at my local pub, Park Lane Tavern. The restaurant manager greated me upon arrival. Once seated I found out they had prepared Scotch Eggs for the occasion of the Bard's birthday!
