Black Friday deal on contemporary kilt jacket
I ordered the Edwardian kilt jacket from McCall's Highlandwear last week, and today I see that it is on sale. As is the way of these things, I am bummed that I spent that extra money, but if I tip anyone else off to this deal, and they take it, I will feel somewhat vindicated. A good markdown, if anyone is still in the market for a contemporary style jacket.

Bookish, have you tried contacting them? They might extend you a courtesy discount to help ease the sting....
A polite enquirey can go a long way sometimes. The establishments I have purchased from have all been very helpful and accomodating.

That picture shows the problem I have with pleating to the sett. The white stripe makes it look off-center.
Even if you get it centered in the middle strap, if you gain or lose weight, the stripe will drift right or left.
The way I see, it I've got 3 options.
1. Convince myself that I don't care and stop staring at the center stripe.
2. Stick with pleating to the stripe.
3. Only pleat to the sett when the sett doesn't contain an eye-catching stripe.
