Jacket and waistcoat

Looking to get a jacket and waistcoat to wear with my kilts on occasions which call for "dressier" attire without going full-on formal. I've seen many pictures online of HM King Charles in Highland attire without the epaulets and gauntlets (of which I am NOT a fan). Can anyone direct me to a source in the US for something of this nature? (Preferably one that won't break the bank, but am not unwilling to pay for quality.) TIA

When I lost all my highland wear (along with my house and almost everything else I owned in a California wildfire in 2017, my older son set in motion a family project to resurrect it. First to appear was a simple but elegant tweed jacket from Kinloch Anderson in Edinburgh. NOT cheap, but very versatile, particularly in charcoal grey tweed. K-A's advertising is liberally laced with "By Appointment to HRM…" so I think that may be what you've seen in pictures of the King without epaulettes, fancy cuffed sleeves, or metal buttons on his jackets:

Later, I added a waistcoat. Although I probably wear an Argyll tweed jacket a bit more often, I'm very fond of this one as well.

I just checked USA Kilts's website and do not find a jacket this simple on offer from them, but I may be visiting them around "Tartan Day" in a few weeks, and I'll try to remember to ask if they ever offer something like it. On their website, the closest I can find is a Braemer jacket and waistcoat, but there's no delete option for either the metal buttons, epaulettes, OR fancy cuffs, and they say it's a stock rack item in the store. But, even with a waistcoat it's more than $200 less expensive than the jacket available at K-A.
