    Sapal, as you stated that the bride and groom are dear loved ones, I would not do what Jock said he would do. There are plenty of people who wear the kilt and have no ancestral ties to Scotland. I say "why not?"

    OTOH, sometimes it’s your closest friends and family you can speak plainly and honestly with.

    Sometimes people need to hear that a plan is foolish from a close friend when no one else is willing to. Maybe in gentler language than Jock suggested! ;)

    Whether that applies in this case, I won’t say, but I thought it would be worth mentioning.
