As it’s a bit cooler this week, I’m thinking I’ll go simple with just my Isle of Skye kilt, a light jumper, black or green hose (cause I do know better than cream or white! ), and — unless I can find some brogues between now and then — some nice boots.

    ...........
A wee bit of fine tuning! I would go with the green hose, if it were me.

I didn’t see this until now, but I did end up choosing the green hose in the end.

Had a great kilted coffee with Peter today. We spent over two hours talking about all manner of things. I’m happy to report that not even once did my combination of kilt and American accent result in any other coffee shop patrons lobbing tomatoes at me.

It was a very enjoyable conversation and a successful launch of my kilted journey in Scotland. Sadly, I forgot to grab a picture.

Once again, thanks to everyone who responded here. If anyone else in the area would like to join next time and wouldn’t mind being seen in the company of a kilted American, please reach out!

I am very glad, but not surprised, that your trip was a success. So carry on carrying on!

PM me if you are up this way and lets see if we can arrange an RV.

I echo Adam's sentiments. We spent an enjoyable morning discussing a wide range of subjects. As Adam admits, we were too busy enjoying each other's company and we forgot the photo. We will make sure to rectify this next time.

Well alright Adam-- SoulFyre777--, how have you been getting on with wearing the kilt in Scotland? Are you missing in action? Or, have you decided that wearing the kilt in Scotland is not a good idea? Just wondering?

Haha - Well no one has shown up with pitchforks, so that’s good.

If I’m honest, I’ve not been out kilted since Peter and I met up. Not for lack of desire - just lack of opportunity (or foresight in some cases). I actually owe him a phone call to set up our next outing.

I was considering whether I wanted to brave the crowds to take in some of the Fringe while kilted. I’ve never been so I don’t really know what I would be in for. I just know that I’ve mostly aged out of loud and rowdy at this point.
