    Makenzie weathered tartan pleating...

I am taking the plunge to make my first kilt... I have taken apart 5 and remade them with new stabilizer, canvas, and lining... redoing the aprons etc to a smaller size... So I think I can do this with the help of the AOK book and Robert MacDonald's videos...

I have aquired some Makenzie weathered tartan 13 oz about a 10 inch sett... I would like to pleat to the orange stripe... this would make the pleats about 1-1/16 wide...
The other option would be to pleat it as discussedMackenzie Weathered - test pleated to the red stripe and grey block.jpg in an old thread where Stephan showed this option....
