Not a sporran but a lovely Argyll jacket, 44R, in a rarely-seen colour, for under $100.

I'm not sure this quite qualifies 'for less money'

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/167788120766

but I am sure some of you will be watching it with interest.

Nice and unusual though it is, is the price being asked right? I guess the only way to know is if it sells... But as dealers and collectors like to say when a high price is questioned, go and find another.

This looks like a straightforward WE Scott "pipers" sporran but with an unusual old-looking (and military-looking) cantle.

The cantle has a bizarre badge stuck on, most probably an aftermarket thing.

What would be nice is if the badge was glued on, making it easy to restore the cantle.

Not as good if they drilled holes in the cantle.

Anyhow under $100 and here in the USA.

I do love the quality of L&M Highland (Canada) and here's a lovely Evening sporran for around $35 here in the USA (no tariffs!)

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/116882029698

The photo of the stamp is too blurry to read but I've seen that oval L&M stamp before.

In the Ebay sporran above the stamp is a deep inkless imprint, I've usually seen the stamp in gold ink as here below

    Especially not that one!

I do wonder what the heck it is.

I'm with you. It's very tempting but what if the face of the cantle under the badge is mucked up?

The cantle itself is intriguing. It has a Gordons/Seaforths look to it.

I too have a growing project list but faster-growing than that is my collection of vintage WE Scott and Nicoll Brothers rust-leather "Day" sporrans. When these come up with a $20 or $30 Buy It Now I can't resist.

My excuse is that I'm gearing up a sporran collection to do a Youtube video on the history of the sporran.

I might even have to buy a hated "semi-dress" sporran just to show the folks. (They come up on Ebay often and cheap.)

When that video is done and dusted I'll be listing a load of For-sale Fridays things.
