I don't know anything about the current state of the Canadian military. It's interesting to see Barnes' list, written in the early 1950s, these Canadian units wearing uniforms similar to the former Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Scotland:
The Cape Breton Highlanders*
The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada
The Calgary Highlanders
* In a postscript Barnes states that in the 1954 reorganisation of the Canadian military the Cape Breton Highlanders became 2nd Battalion The Nova Scotia Highlanders.
Some of the Argylls get their jump wings and some of them served in Afghanistan.
There was a very rare terrorist killing in Canada about a dozen years ago when a young Argyll Corporal was shot and killed while he was guarding the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa. We were all heartbroken.
My local Regiment is another Highland Regiment ... the Lorne Scots of Canada.
