Having tartan custom made is one thing, and having the tartan made into a kilt is another....
Perhaps the best way to go about it, if I may, is to have, say, Daneel (the originator of this idea!!)look into how much custom weave costs? I think some mills, e.g. Fraser and Kirkbright, will do a run for as little as 30 yards, but I don't know what they would need or how much it would cost...
As far as having a kilt made from the fabric, that should be up to the individual buying the fabric. You buy what fabric you would need, and find a kiltmaker to put it together....
