Mid_Winter Celtic Fest
I already have my ticket in hand, and looking forward to a great weekend at the MidWinter Fest in King of Prussia, however I do have a question for any of those who have attended in the past.
I know that the fest will have refreshments available to puchase, but does anyone know the policy on bringing in your own beverage and snacks?
Thanks in advance, and i hope to see some of you there ... By the way, if you are going, make sure you take time to see one of the sets for "Brother", they are an Austrialian Celtic Rock band who mixes traditional Aboriginal music with rock, celtic and a fair amount of bagpipes (GHB) into the music. Well worth seeing ... and they are usually kilted!
Take Care,
Brian Mackay

I'm not sure on the policy for bringing your own food and stuff...
check out www.eohebrides.com and email Bill Reid and ask him. He's the man that put it all together.
Also... Friday night the vendors usually close up around 10 (when the main band goes on). I am getting a group of people together to head downtown to Finnegan's Wake at 10 to see one of our local favorite bands, "The Bogside Rogues". They're more upbeat rock Irish with a bunch of rebel songs thrown into each set. Anyone wishing to go see Bogside (TRUST me, they're not to be missed), be at the USAKilts and Highland Tide booth (we're back to back) BY 10 PM Friday.

Our Answer is NO
This is right from Bill Reid .... and I quote:

So I guess we have an answer.

Well I for one plan on being there. I'll probably be meeting Hank on Thursday night with Rocky & Kelly. Jeremy, I already know what you look like so I'll have no problems spotting you there.
And I am definitely planning on the after-hours events on Friday night. It's been at least four days since the roving gangs of drunken lasses have tried grabbing my bagpipe in public so I guess I'm overdue...
On a related note, some of the guys from work I was with on friday night ate lunch at the company caf today and recognized some of the ladies there as people who tried doing a kilt check on me friday night. They tried to call me over to the caf but I was already off-site for lunch.

We're probably going to take the kids on saturday. I'm hoping the grandparents will watch my kids on friday night so Mrs. Sporrano can join the after-hours debauchery.

Is this your first time in Philly?
Will you have eaten dinner by the time you get in?
There is a great Irish restaurant in King of Prussia, Kildare's, which I highly recommend.
