I asked for it pleated to the sett, and that's what I got. It looks pretty damn groovy. As for a wearing-out review, you'll have to wait on that. Since I am moving out of my apartment, I'm sticking to shorts today so I don't mess up the kilt. Shorted instead of kilted on St. Pat's? HERESY!

I'm reasonably sure the tartan is modern. However, I haven't enough knowledge to tell you for certain if it's ancient, modern, muted, etc. etc. My only experience with tartans comes from websites, a few books, and my own small kilt collection. Better you refer your questions to the USAKrewe.

As for steaks vs. hot dogs... c'mon! You know that you can't go wrong with USAK. Why wait?
