I too would like to add my welcome to the board. I am also interested in the part of Ireland which you are from. My father's family imirgrated to the USA from county Tyrone, Northern Ireland in the mid to late 1920s. I should still have relatives there, but since the passing of my uncle in 2002, I have no means to contact them.

Welcome. Great Pix. 2 questions: Why are you out with Bulgarians? Why are Bulgarians wearing kilts? I ask b/c I studied in Bulgaria, back in the good ol' cold war days, long before I became kilted.

    Slainte. No Eegit here.

And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?

Kilts and bulgarians...its a long story!

The Irish Kilt Club held a dinner in Dublin on Saturday 12th March to present the new O'Mahoney tartan to the Bulgarian Ambassador, Madame Blinsheze, which incorporates the colours of the Bulgarian flag.

The connection is that the head of the Clan O'Mahoney has for many years been closely involved in charity work in Bulgaria, especially children's charities.

None of the Bulgarians were wearing kilts, though the Ambassador's son (18) said he would like to get an outfit!

    Welcome to the site!!!

And some knuckle-heads say that Irish don't wear kilts.

It'll be nice to get your perspective on things around here!
