    St. Patricks Day - Philadelphia - 2005

I've put together a photo album of the Philly scene from last night. I went to two different venues. I wish I could have gotten a few shots of the Xmarks guys together but between being too inebriated to remember, and running out of memory on my camera, I didn't get nearly as many pictures as I wanted.

I know there are a lot of pictures taken of me that are going to surface sooner or later. Between the kilt and my, errrm, vulgar tee-shirt, lots of people wanted pics.

The special treat last night was getting to see Barleyjuice play to an absolutely packed Tir na Nog in Philly. There was a line going around the corner outside most of the night to get in, I kid you not. Our own Jimmy Carbomb was of course playing (and in a few of the pics). The whole band was kilted, and had whipped the crowd into a frenzy especially when the dual bagpipes got going.

Before going to Tir na Nog to see Jimmy & Barleyjuice, I went to Finnigan's Wake for a wee bit and got to see a little of The Hooligans first set upstairs. By the time Barleyjuice was done, and I got back to Finnigan's Wake, The Hooligans were gone and there was some distinctly non-Irish band playing on the main stage.

For some reason, at Finnigan's Wake, pretty girls kept coming up to me, turning their back to me, bending over and going "Ba-aa-aa-aa!"

EDIT - Uhhhh it would help if I put in the link.

So what does the T-shirt say? I caught the first two syllables ... any more to it?

I'm betting it had to do with sheep.

Yeah it had to do with sheep.... errrr.... breeding. Or at least the attempt to breed them.

Magnus, I advise you to refrain from commenting in a public forum, until after the charges of bestialty are dropped!

Great to meet you. There are pictures in the Philly Kilt Night area.

PM me regarding terms of payment for the unpublished ones.

BTW, I am a free man, without wife. Girlfriend is acceptable.
And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?

So THAT'S what the place looked like?!

All I remember was some drunk blonde getting WAY too close to my Guinness on-stage.

I can put up with a lot... but no matter how nice your backside is... STAY AWAY from my Guinness!

The place was rocking... the place was WILD... and I'm absolutely sure that Magnus had NOTHING to do with any of that.

There. As long as you don't scroll down to this part, you have a testimonial for your better-half.

Oh I didn't see that one. I thought I had all of the pretty girls near the stage to myself (minus the ones already attached to the band of course, and erudite's girlfriend)

I can take no credit. Sure, there was a reality distortion field within a certain radius of me wherever I went but Barleyjuice absolutely brought the house down. No doubt! And I think the pivotal point of the evening was when the DUAL bagpipes started wailing. The crowd went nuts!

My wife doesn't get out with me much. Last time she did, she pretended she was not with me. We went to Finnigan's Wake one Friday night and up on the main floor some naughty (but pretty) girl grabbed up around back and upon discovering what was proper undercarriage attire with the kilt she proceeded to spank my bum a few times. My wife looked on from 10-15 feet away as I told the girl to drop her drawers and allow me to reciprocate. When she dropped her pants I said "You know what, I'm going to stop here. I'm a married man and that 5'11" amazon queen over there is my wife." My wife saw me point at her, walks over, and says to us both "Don't stop on my account. Do what you've got to do."

Magnus, I definitely need to go out with you more. I can certainly pick up a few pointers. Not that I would wear that shirt of yours, espousing "Baaaaaaad" love.
And you may ask yourself, Well how did I get here?
