lol I'm pretty sure that the last train outta Penn Station is somewhere around 12 or 1 AM, so I *think* I'll be pretty good to stay decently late. (besides, train station is only about a 3 min walk from where my family lives, so they dont even have to pick me up.) Jimmy, how long do you guy normally keep up the insanity at rocky's?

Connolly's will be in the afternoon, beginning at 3:00 or so, and then it's off to Rocky Sullivan's.
Once we hit the stage a 9:00pm, we'll be going until the last pink elephant staggers out! Last year, there was table dancing and a time to remember.
Since we're being set-up in New York, we don't really need to stop!

Are you volunteering to organize? I thnk a van would work, but so would the train from Philly. Would be great to have a Philly Regiment all on the same train :P

NJ Transit is fairly inexpensive for getting back and forth between NYC and Philly.
The very cheapest that I know of is a bus that goes from Chinatown (Philly) to Chinatown (NYC).
Whatever the case I think I'll have to plan on staying overnight.

Remember that if you go to the Trenton, NJ station and park in their secure lot, you can head on into NYC for the festivities and return whenever you want.
With that, you have a few options too.
1). Head-in and head-back.
2). Head-in, stay in NY, head-back tomorrow.
3). head-in, stay in NJ, head-back tomorrow.
Jersey hotels are MUCH cheaper, and there are a LOAD of them in the Linden/Edison/Elizabeth area. Everything from Holiday Inn Express and Red Roof, to the Marriott's and Sheritan's.
If we weren't being set-up, I know that I would be taking the train.
This way, you also avoid the NASTY parking situation that will be evident in NYC with all those people.

After speaking with my travel companion, NJT sounds like a better alternative. Doesn't seem to be enough of us to do the van thing... this year 8)
But the chinatown bus could be F.ing HYSTERICAL in a surreal sort of way. Magnus, Declan and I are all 6'+ from Brian's picture he might be too. So we all show up in china town saturday morning for the bus. And (no disrespect to the chinese, because there's always one guy like this in any group of travellers) the very short little old chinese guy, the one who always yells.. WHY YOU WEAR SKIRT? YOU IRISH? And then starts telling jokes about us in chinese and everyone else laughs.
Back to plan... There's 4 of us + my girlfriend. It's about 2.5 hours to Penn in NYC. Parade starts at 2. So we plan to group and roll from 30th street on the 0909 train? Trenton at 0954. departures at 1011 1036 arriving at 1137 and 1153. The next train ou of 30th is at 1009, with connections an hour later arriving an hour later by 1300
Once we get to nyc it should be less than 1/2 an hour to get up to 45th. if we walk or subway. (Penn NYC is at 34th)
So thats the plan. It's a one way mission, boys. After the objective is achieved, it's everyman for himself. Should you be captured or seduced by a lovely lass, the agency will deny all knowledge of the K team and of this mission.
I'll PM you my cell number if you're going to be on board (figuratively literally).
This post will self destruct in 30 seconds.
