I only notice the drumming anymore when I'm indoors moving around a quiet room. Then I just hold my hand over them to keep the atmosphere quiet. While walking outdoors I let them drum away, and I don't even notice it. People do hear me coming up behind them though when I walk down the street. It gives them a chance to gawk at me over their shoulders before I pass them, and then continue gawking at my swishing pleats.
Andrew.
