The Celtic music has SO MANY different off-shoots that it appeals to many different tastes. There's the "folk Celtic" like the Chieftains, "Celtic punk", "traditional" like Natalie McMaster, "neo-Celtic" like Eileen Ivers, etc. etc. etc.

Seven Nations sits in a little niche for those that prefer "Pop" music with a bit of a Celtic flair. No problem with that. They found a target audience and they're playing to that.

The natural flow of a band and the members' personalities will INADVERTANTLY take the music in a direction that NO ONE could imagine sometimes.
