Traditional material?

I was just curious to know what material the UsaK traditionals are made out of. Is it the same as the Philabeg? Or is it a different blend?

I just had this clarified to me by Rocky because I was interested in the difference as well.

The Philabeg and Traditional are Poly Viscose material. The Premiere is wool.

The material is the same (both PV), but the way they're made is very different. An average of 4.5 to 5 yards goes into a Philabeg while an average of 7.5 to 8 goes into a Traditional... the pleats are smaller and deeper.

Can you make a traditional kilt in the Leatherneck (USMC) tartan, or do I have to go wool for that one?

Yes, we can make a kilt in the Leatherneck tartan, but it's only available in wool. The mill that weaves PV doesn't make the Leatherneck tartan, but I can get it from wool mills.
