Yesterday I turned 39 and of course it was the go see the family day. I wanted to wear my Gordon tank, it was my birthday after all, but my wife insisted that I wear one of my UKs. She wanted her father to see it.
Now my wife insists that I am a pretty good looking guy, hey she has to -- its her job, but I never get any compliments when I am walking around in a pair of pants. When I wear one of my kilts it another story. While I was out and about I got plenty of looks and compliments. I have to tell you it feels good to have people appreciate the way you look. I think that it has more to do with the confident attidude that a man in a kilt exudes, more than actual looks.
By the way, the family loved the UK.
