    Thumbs up New forum style

What a surprise, it's a bit like coming home and finding that the wife got the painters in and all the rooms are a different colour!

I like it, it was time for a wee bit of a change, and this is refreshing. Thanks for your hard work Hank, I'm sure a lot of work went on backstage that I don;t know about. Well done!

    Smile

I hadn't realised the gallery was not there, nor are smilies in the text, I guess all that will be worked out in time.

I like the new format (even though I have been a member here for less than a week.), as it is identical to that used by many other forums I frequent. You'll find it to be very user friendly and easy to navigate. Cheers.

I like it. The only thing I've noticed, that hasn't been mentioned, is that on the http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum page, you don't appear to be logged in, but if you click the "Forums" link, you do.

I understand the changes etc, just letting you know, Hank And my apologies if it's been mentioned already.

HUH???!!??? I just got here. Like Graham said, the house has been redecorated and I'm a bit dis-oriented. But then again, we're still the same family no matter what color the room is, I'm sure I'll adjust, just let me catch my breath.

Wow! Hank, I thought I was seeing things when I logged in to "X Marks..." a short while ago to find everything has changed ....... I thought I had done something wrong or my computer was on the blink!

You have obviously done (and are doing) a lot of hard work to get things straightened out and, like so many others, I am grateful for your endeavours - although I suspect it will take me a long time to find my way around our new home.

Some things are not explained and, as a non-techie, I find that a little disconcerting. For example, I have never heard of phpBB, vB, .php files, etc., etc. and I am hoping such things will not concern me, but can you tell me why I am apparently "off the scale"? Also, I used to be billed uniquely as "Hamish the kilted legend" but now I am one of several "Elders"; have I been promoted?!!! By the way, I hope this is not an ageist category!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Hank,

Well, I don't know if you have done a bit of speedy tweaking in the past 30 minutes or so but, suddenly I find I am restored to my former title, and I am no longer "off the scale" but am "an unknown quantity"! What does THAT mean, pray? As far as I know, I have no secrets - I am like an open book!!!
