I am the author of kiltday.com and I must admit that the site is a work in progress. Initially, I copped a lot of stuff from many sites and I am honing the site as time goes on. I did "borrow" many of the links from Tom's Cafe. I have added a few and removed a few. I am planning on going through and taking out the cross-dressing sites as I want it to be primarily kilt related with applicable references to other masculine outfits of a masculine nature from other contemporary cultures. I'm not a big fan of the men-in-skirts movement or cross-dressing, but to each their own. I try not to judge, it's just not my deal. So, as time goes on, I will be removing links that have that bent. I just have not had a lot of time to check each link. Sorry.

As for the un-credited stuff, please understand, I mean no offense. If anyone as ownership or copyright on any of the images on my site, I'd be happy to remove and replace them or add applicable credit, if they like. My intent is to promote kilts as acceptable straight men's fashion and I believe most anyone involved likely feels the same way. All of the images were culled from various websites and while I have been in contact with some of their owners, in many cases, I have no way of locating the owner of some images as they have been passed around and appear to have no embedded copyright information. Please note, I am not profiting from my site.. it is purely an effort to help the cause.

The photo of Bear, as most of you know, was taken from the PK site and I have been in contact with Jeff at PK. I advised him that I was using one of his pictures and set it with a reference and link to his site. He did not object. Bear, you have already stated you don't care, but if you change your mind or if you would like to replace it with another photo (shorter sporran chain maybe?), please let me know. No problem. I think it is one of the most "macho" of the "straight guy in a kilt" pictures I have seen anywhere. Kudos to you Bear and thanks for your allowing me to use it.

Obviously, as you can see, I am trying to present a comprehensive image of masculinity and kilts to show there is no shame and only pride in being kilted. If anyone has any ideas on how I can improve the site, please let me know. I have gotten a lot of great feedback and constructive comments. All appreciated.

As for the No Pants Day references.. please allow me to explain.
No Pants Day (this month) was the day I decided to go out in a kilt for daily pursuits (rather than for Highland Games). It was the impetus for me. I think the fact that I had that one little thing to bolster my decision and was armed with that if needed (which it wasn't), gave me the confidence to do it. I received great feedback, positive comments and support from friends and strangers alike. No Pants Day and www.nopantsday.com was the reason I decided to make www.kiltday.com.. so others could have that one little weapon in their arsenal and hopefully to give a few guys that little bit of confidence (both after reading the content and looking at the pictures) as well as being able to refer any possible naysayers to the site, if the topic comes up.

Please keep in mind, last I checked, there was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the www.nopantsday.com website that was even slightly "anti-kilt." All of this talk about the "inventors" of No Pants Day stating in an interview that they did not support kilts is hearsay as far as I am concerned and the fact that it is not addressed on their site is evidence to me that if the comment was made, it may be the position or opinion of an individual and not the "movement" (if you can call it that) in general. I think that as long as they have not published anything AGAINST kilts, I feel good about using them and celebrating No Pants Day in a kilt. If anyone finds anything on their site that contradicts this, please let me know.

I appreciate the supportive comments and would love to get more input from the people that participate here.
