Was this your first time to church kilted? Was all the response positive?
As a Christian, I'm particularly interested in church responses in different areas.
I'm a little anxious but mostly comfortable with my planned attendance at a large church Convention in Denver in a few weeks.

Graham, I wore my kilt to church recently and most reactions were positive and enquiring of my Scottish family connections (which are nil).

I'm sorry, mate. It's tough losing someone close to you like that. I hope you can find time to remember the good memories.

Regarding wearing a kilt to church functions, I wear mine all the time to my local extremely EXTREMELY liberal Presbyterian church and get nothing but positive comments, though I finally corrected one of the guys who insisted on kidding me, for about the ninth time, about crossdressing. It was all in fun and we're friends, but it just got a little bit old, you know?

First let me say thank you, I know that all of you here are very sincere. Yes I will always cherish the memories I have of my cousin.He was only 43.
Now more than ever I will live my life the way I want and do the things that I enjoy the most. That includes wearing my kilt when and where I like.
The next few days will be very busy for me.

As far as going to church kilted ,I think that most of the folks were a bit surprised at first, they just don't see a kilted man very often. Father asked if I was going to be in a parade. Another in Lake Placid asked if there was some kind of event in town. One did ask what clan, I told him that it is the Pride of Scotland. He then told me that his family came from the Isle of Whit.
