I just hope it isn't and example of what Ron mentioned. i.e. She might criticize you and your kilt, but she resents anyone ELSE casting aspersions on her husband.

I'd be very proud of your spouse as well, Alan. I married a redhead of Scot heritage, and don't push her buttons. She'll be more likely to retort than I will, and she doens't drink! We all will encounter the pompous bastards that will tell us that we shouldn't be kilted, but we all know better, thanks in no small part to this site for some of us.
