In my gallery you can see a pair made by a friends wife. She made them as a reward for the kilt I made.
These are made from homespun wool and hand knitted. I do not think she used a pattern. It is hard to see in the photos but there is a cable knit pattern that really stands out when worn.

Homemade wool hose, huh David? It sounds like you're thinking ahead to those Norwegin winters already. Mind you some nice wool homemade hose will look great with the county Fermanagh kilt you are picking up in Drumnadrochit.

Nice looking kilt and hose. Although I am more interested in the deer pics at 3 in the am. What was the story there?

I must admit that I can Buy really great hose here in Norway (Ask Rufus)
However I think a home knitted pair would be great too.My wife is up for it too so we'll have a look in wool shops in Scotland.
BTW thanks for the link for the popcorn pattern .

No kidding! I wear the hose from Norway much more than regular kilt hose because I like them so much.
