Who the heck ar they measuring for these things? I'm no body builder type but I seem to be a completely different shape than the people the jackets are being made for. I went to the Portland Highland games this last weekend and Geoffry (Tailor) was there with a display. After trying on several jackets I asked the Guy running the booth if this was a normal fitment problem and his response was that I am "a bit heavy in the arm" and I would need a custom fit. Like I said, I'm no body builder, is any body else running into this? I don't want the hassle of ordering a jacket from overseas that has to be returned for fittings.

Jamie, I had a similar problem with the jackets that I tried on locally as well. While the jacket I ordered online is a bit bigger in the belly (yet the waistcoat is not....suprisingly) the chest and arms are more comfortable.
