Couldn't find anything on the original link but I've been getting more intrigued with this idea since you posted it. found some 9+" minis but that's too big.

So, if the k-bar was merged with the skean dhu, would you want to see the clip point carried over instead of the standard drop-point/dagger blade?

Any idea why they chose to go with the leather washer handle versus anything else?

    Sorry, No Clue

Just like to have the distinctive handle sticking up...but suppose as more Marines see it they'll wanna look at the whole thing and I'll be hauling out of my sock.

That's it! The handle color on mine is what shows here...not sure its olive drab, looks brown or War 2 khaki to me.

They made a nice profit off of me, but don't begrudge them finding this and making such a nice leather sheath with the EGA on it.

For me, only thing important is the handle sticking out of my kilt hose :-P

whoa, that's a moment, I think I've waited all my life for a marine to say semper fi to me. I'm being respectful, really.

That is one of the best military traditions. Do you remember the story of the Canadian First Nation marine that never had an honour guard at his funeral. When his buddies found out about it years later, they got together and voluntarily came to Canada, to the cemetary and did it right. The story brought tears to my eye, does now remembering it.

A both sad and joyful tale. Glad he was done right.

Spent some time with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets in Comox, B.C. in about 1960 when I was in the then new U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps...twas a Marine that steered my young heart towards the Corps.
