eBay.ca, July 31
Some interesting kilts coming up over the next few days here: http://search.ebay.ca/kilt_W0QQsofoc...trypageZsearch
They're listing: Clark, Gordon, RHR Black Watch, Black Stewart, and a complete WW1 16th Battalion Canadian Scottish uniform. Unfortunately, the largest is the Gordon at 38".

Thanks for the link. I may have to bid on the Clarke, as that's my mother's maiden name and it's in my size.

WWI uniform...
I noted on the seller's description of the WWI-era 16th Battalion CEF uniform that the kilt was listed as the Stewart Hunting tartan (The Tartan of the Canadian Scottish, a BC regiment, and is affiliated with the Royal Scots, who also wear the SH), yet the the tartan in the photo looks an awful lot like Mackenzie. The description also describes the Stewart Hunting as "light green/white/red black stripes" -- the SH doesn't have any white stripes. Caveat Emptor.
The RHR of Canada kilt is almost identical to my RHR of Canada surplus kilt that I bought back in the '90's.
Cheers, ![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif)

had the same "instinct" respond to this identification. did a quick search on army.ca and their forum had previously had a problem with the 16th, (which won a VC today in history at Ypres, coincidentally.) Here is the answer from their board which makes some sense of this. The 16th was unique:
16th Bn CEF, The Canadian Scottish -->
Each company had tartan of its parent regiment. Upon arrival in England,
these were withdrawn, and whole battalion was outfitted in Mackenzie of No.
2 Company Seaforth Hldrs of Canada. Pipers = red Lennox.

Thanks, Archangel, for checking into that -- interesting that they would re-issue new kilts...have to see if I can find out any more particulars about this...
