Modesty Challenge: Changing a Tire Kilted

So, I'm at work kilted (UK Camo Original & t shirt) coworker comes in and says a rear tire on my F150 pick up is flat. No big deal right...I'm not even regimental because I'm at work.

Fumbled around on the ground, placing the jack under the axle, getting the spare down from under the bed...did okay...but was concious of how the kilt was laying when manuvering around.

Finally, remembered my Ford dealer was just down the street and provided free tire service. Called, they sent a young man over (I'm 60 folks)... he brought a REAL jack and got the job done in short order. Tipped him generously then went off to get the tire repaired.

At first glance one might think getting a tire changed in a kilt might be challenging. It was, but was doable...even if i hadn't opted for the easier way.

Picture this Ron...Emergency lane of any major interstate. Kilted, kneeling down and tightening the lug nuts as a tractor-trailer goes by at about 80 or more. The next couple of cars have no question. lol

(if anyone was curious, it was I-285 in Atlanta)

I truthfully can say that it has not happened to me, but the thought has crossed my mind a few times.

yeah, i travel about 120+ miles per day on I-75. It has crossed my mind and I DO check mae tyres regularly.

but on the off chance I lose a tyre at speed, joke 'em if they can't take a kilt!

Don't kneel, just squat down and do the work. I've found that squatting pulls the back of the kilt tight enough over the buns area (not uncomfortably so) that even if you did get the wind blowing up, you wouldn't reveal much if anything at all.
