Like my neighbors too much to subject them to THAT.

I have been kilted many times at baseball games. Just make sure that you are sitting between two people and behind some tall person.

After it had been noted that my attempt to push down the front was not sufficient, I did cross my legs at the ankles. For the rest of the day I straddled the bench seat which allowed for good coverage.

I've been looking into getting a sporran soon. I want to get one of the plain styles so I can decorate it myself.

Yep, it's a camo kilt. I'm holding off on getting a semi-traditional USAKilt until I've reached my holding weight. I've been dropping pounds for a while now and don't want to buy something that won't fit me in 6 months.

Thanks! My doctor and I figure that another 75 off should be a good place to be at. Yay for fitting into old jeans that are probably back in style by now! Wait... no, that's not right. Forget jeans! Better looking kilts on a better looking physique!

I sit for a living at work, with clients looking at me. That's why I usually wear Utilikilts to the office. The narrow UK apron and all the folds of the underapron cause the apron to drop into place automatically when I sit, don't think about it anymore.

Don't know that a sporran would be comfortable in my lap for an hour at a time.

I do have to remember not to cross my legs like a guy with one ankle on the other knee....

YES!! Dang it, I have to remind myself this about nineteen times a day. it's one of the very few things I don't like about wearing kilt. I sit like this all the time!

GMan, what shoes to the game? I normally wear shorts & tshirt, sandels & no socks. Can one pull off the kilt, t, tennies or sandels & no socks look?

    David,

I usually wear a collared shirt, mostly polo style, sometimes button down. In case I forget the sunscreen I can always turn up the collar. However I do sometimes wear a t-shirt, and that usually has some sort of Celtic saying on it.

Footwear depends on the type of shirt I am wearing. If it is a buttondown shirt I wear dress shoes and socks. Polo shirts have the advantage of virsatility, I wear either combat boots, Doc Martens, hiking boots or shoes, high end tennies (usually my Z-coils).

As far as sandles and no socks, I personally do not go that way as I think that I look like a gladiator wannabe, but I have seen guys that can pull it off.

    Hope this helps.

I know what you mean I have just dropped 40 and have 20 more to go. A kilt is my big payoff for losing all the weight. I too am holding off until I get to that goal. It is so worth it. For the first time in years my Dr. actually congratulated me. Looking good man. Keep up the good work!!

That's how I wear my kilts 98% of the time in the summer. I love my Chacos. The look works with both tartan and solid kilts.
