Somebody in another thread made some comment that we now speak about 26 words supported with "like" and "you know", and "awesome", dude. The poster is not far off and it's okay if the thoughts are being communicated.
Precision in speech and script is a worthwhile exercise, and important on occasion.
I always enjoy watching people talk on the 'phone, especially cell/mobile, as they make gestures to emphasize but the other party can't see them. Ironic, but indicitive of how important it is to know the context.
Yesterday I got caught in a "here's the rules" geneology/heraldry discussion that kept getting tangled up as the other party missed the point that I was actually saying, after that (knowing the rules), do what you want. The fact that only one person actually has the right to having a coat of arms on the wall does not mean that you can't have it on the wall. Most of you already know the difficulty of this kind of discussion.
