There are plenty of countries that are weaving tartans, but I know the Mill that you're most likely referring to.;)
There's a difference of weaving tartan, and WEAVING TARTAN (if you know what I mean). The quality is outstanding, the material is top-notch, and the tartans are "by the book". Some other weavers have the pattern, but not the colors and size. Remember the mantra "you get what you pay for"? Well, that's the same with the Mills. You ought to see their state-of-the-art machinery in action. It's as beautiful as their tartans.
I would LOVE to know if the young guy that you saw was wearing a Twenty-First Century Kilt. Those solids are absolutely WONDERFUL!
