    Emergency help.

I am directing a short film that is starting to shoot Saturday the 3rd. At one point I had wanted one of my leads in a formal kilt, but decided to give it up s the budget did not include enough for the full kit. However, I just discovered that the actor (while being shorter than me) can actually wear my Argyle jacket. So, if there is anyone out there that wants to get rid of a stillwater economy (or other very inexpensive kilt, tartan unimportant but it must be tartan) size 34 or 36 waist. Let me know what you want for it. I would need it shipped my priority mail by Tuesday.

Additionally, I am shooting what is a reception scene. Anyone that in the nearby cincinnati area that might want to participate Sunday afternoon, let me know. I need men and women in formal wear - kilts prefered for guys.

    Thanks
    Adam

    Adam,

Have you considered renting a formal outfit for the actor, instead of buying one? We've rented kilts and Prince Charlies out one to a place in California (where else) filming a commercial. I never got to see it, but Martin Short was supposed to be in it!

Anyway, it's a possibility. Let me know if you are interested.

In all probably there is going to be blood (fake) all over the kilt by the time we're done (He's taking off the jacket first), so a rental is not a great idea. Plus if the kilt isn't ruined, I think he wants it as his first try at a kilt. While I realize that a SW economy is not great, it will get us through a few wide shots, and not break the bank.

I'm just hoping that someone who has an economy that wants to upgrade has the right size, before I just order a new one.

You could probably get one directly from Stillwater, if you called them now and paid extra for the rush delivery.

That's what I am going to to later if no takers. I just know that most guys here don't like the economy, but it will work for a couple days of shooting, and I'd rather help a fellow kilt wearer upgrade. Plus priority mail from someone here has got to be cheaper than rus shipping from SW.

    Sometimes you just can't win.

I received no offers, so I decided to go ahead and order from SW. While there I decided to get their black heavyweight for myself. Only they no longer have one in my size. They are going to have these in wool in about a month or so, so are selling out their acrylic. I may have to go with one size up (My night stalker is 1 size too big now, so I know I can deal with it), since I am going to a formal event called, "La Fette Noir" at the end of Sept, and I need to be in all black.

Oh, and right after I decided to do all of this, things fell apart for the movie shoot, and everything has been posponed till spring.
