Hi JerMc!
Last year we were set up by the stage and next to the Irish group, that
was a rainy weekend.
I'm not sure how many of us are going to Richmond this year-there is a
timing conflict with several of the unit members.
If you find the pictures I'd like to see them.
thanks,

How I do envy you David I think if I lived in the US I'd be a re-enactor myself.
You all looked great.

Those are great pics.
I wish we had a reenactor group around here that would show up to the Texas Scottish Festival. The SCA comes, & we have some guys who are in the "Queen's Own Highlanders" at Scarborough Fair (our area ren faire), but they don't do anything organized (in fact, they are good enough to recognize that Scottish festivals are NOT ren faires). :-)
Thanks for sharing.

So far no luck locating the pics, I was sure they were on my computer somewhere. I'll keep looking, and check to see if they are still on my camera. As for the cold rain, I reember that part all too well from last year.

David, love the pictures. I especially like the first one of you called rough and ready, and I see no reason why a man of todays age could not go out and about in such attire.
In short looking good.

Thank you kindly Ranald,
I do dress this way on my land-I love 18th century Scots clothing.
It just feels good to me-sends me into another time and place.
Generally I just wear a kilt when going about my business in town-sans
my dirk:-(

Dave, thanks for sharing the pics. The lads kneeling in firing position look good, and their aprons are properly positioned, it seems!
I very much like the look of the box-pleated kilt. Seems that obtaining one is moving ever closer towards the top of the list of things I must do.
Regards,
Mac

Hi Mac!
We've worked very hard on our RevWar impressions.
Hey, Box-Pleats are cool! I love them, they are an old style-different.
thanks for the kind words,
