I have seen numerous mentions of Jura Range wool kilts in the past. Can someone please explain to me the differences and the definition.
 Cheers

I think you will find that these are a product of 'Scottish Kilts' Colin. "Jura" appears to be a name they give to a particular range of casual kilts:

I have also seen Jura listed from a material supplier. I am just wondering if it is a different type of wool. http://www.martonmills.com/pure_wool.htm

Ham, I believe they also make an 8 yard in Jura Range. I just wonder if it isn't a matter of which mill it comes from.

Jura is Marton Mill's 16 oz wool. Other mills call it "Strome" (loch)or "HW" (Edgar) or "W100" (Strath) or "Torridon" (Bat).
I would take a "Jura Kilt" to mean that the material is 16 oz wool from MM.

Oooops! Sorry Colin. I'd never heard of "Jura" in this context. Just did a search for it and the 'Scottish Kilts' link is what I was given. It seems you have the answer now anyway, so I'll go back in my corner! ;)
