Keep your boots on
As I was dressing yesterday it occured to me that one of the great advantages of the kilt is that I don't have to remove my shoes to change my kilt.
Now this may seem obvious, or even irrelevant, but I always found it a real nuisance when wearing jeans with legs so narrow that they wouldn't slip over my boots, so I had to remove them, change my trousers then tie up my boots again.
Lately I've had a sore back, so any extra bending down is an issue.
Just another of the wonderful, time saving features of this garment we call the kilt!

I have appreciated this fact many times... you can also straighten your shirt tails by reaching underneath and pulling down rather than trying to tuck in from above. Do it in private though as it does look a tad strange to an onlooker. ;)

Hey Blu,
The first time my wife watched me trying to get the shirt tails all straightened out she gave me that eye-rolly-such-a-simpleton look, walked over, lifted the kilt and tugged. That woman knows the neatest stuff!

Did she at least fix the shirt while she was there?

I put my boots or shoes on then the kilt, old Marine Corps trick of not sitting in your good trousers before inspection to keep the wrinkles away. In the times when I am required to wear pants, it is usually a great shock to realize I can't get them on with my boots on.
