It's only windy on top of the CN Tower!
No...I understood...just got done reading a book that's a sort of pre-history of Second City and it reminded me that there was a Toronto branch of SC.
Difference is that one is in an old laundry and the other is in an old firehouse...
Toronto is one of the best vacation destinations in North America...especially if you like to shop. You'll see a great similarity between Chicago and Toronto as far as the lakefront is concerned...the areas have gone from commercial/industrial use to public space and recreation. If anything, I believe that Toronto's use of their lakefront was probably one of the inspirations for the re-development of Navy Pier here in Chicago.
There USED TO BE direct train service between the two cities...I understand that an Amtrak engine took you so far and then they uncoupled it and hooked on a CanRail locomotive for the rest of the trip...but I hear that it has been discontinued...which is a damn shame; it was a great and relaxing ride and I had been hoping to go that way again and get off in London, Ontario to check it out and get to Stratford for the Shakespeare. I understand that I missed "Much Ado" with a soundtrack by Barenaked Ladies this year...I am such a procrastinator!
International Second City Kilt Nights, anybody?
bet
