Kilted Troopers . . .
The Stormtrooper, kind, that is.
Just wondering how many 501st members are on X-marks?
For those who I have completely confused, the 501st Legion is a group of individuals who have Screen quality Star Wars costumes. Our primary purpose is 1) to raise money for children’s charities, and 2) to have fun. To learn more, visit www.501st.com.
There is a subgroup of the 501st known as the Kilted Trooper Brigade. The purpose of the KTB is to promote the wearing of Kilts, both in and out of armor. I know that a number of UK’s were sold to existing or future members of the group.
I had actually found this site before I joined the KTB, but the KTB does provide the link to Xmarks on their group page.
Just one other example of how kilt wearing is gathering steam.
Message Completed.
TR-5965 Signing off.

Sorry, I'm not among the 501st, heck i saw the movie, and it was good, but it was just a movie, like fictional.
still, if followers of Obie won kenobie (or whatever the heck his name was) want to wear kilts - I'm all for it!!

Cool site!
One question though. In the Member's Gallery, under Sith Lords, who are the women supposed to be. I don't remember a female sith in the films.
Graham, it is just a movie, but most people in my age group 25-35 will have grown up with those films in the theatres, and what an impact it was at that age. How often do you have a top selling film (to this day) that has no cursing, no sexuality (except that outfit in Return of the Jedi.........Rrrrrrr), and pits good versus evil in which the audience wants good to prevail and they do? It was totally a generational thing. Of course these are the same people that helped sell out the Lord of the Rings films.

There aren't any female Sith in the films but the so-called Expanded Universe (the hundreds of novels written about the SWU after the destruction of the second Death Star) makes mention of them, notably Mara Jade, who, in the Heir to the Empire series is the apprentice of the Emperor (no, he didn't really die as you thought!)...and who ends up as love interest to the not-so-young-anymore Master Luke!

If I can find a Armour that I can afford, I would join the 501st in no time.

Graham, I agree with you but Australia actually has enough supporters of the Force for it to merit a religious designation. Please don't ask to search for the story to support this. I recall that the list of "other" on the Stat survey now includes the Force.
Our comments would probably agree, I'm just not going to say them out loud.
The other thing is that the 501st, cool as it is, is not on the side of Obi Wan. In fact, they're the enemy, so I have trouble reconciling that. After that, it's supposed to be fun.

Speaking of kilted stormtroopers, it seems that the Empire has infiltrated Alabama:

And I guess that Hellboy finally saved up enough to order his UK:
Last but not least, it looks like the kilted trooper got to meet up with Mel 1 & 2 at the ComiCon:
Thank goodness for google!

Odd that you should mention that...
I'm not 501st but I have a complete Stormtooper outfit. Paid $600 plus another $125 for the white boots.
