Slightly off topic, but interesting-How close is this thread to the longest on record?
We are on reply #76 now.
For this forum I think that "Attitudes To The Kilt" is the largest at 168.

The largest I have ever seen, which I must note was only open from 10.02.04 to 10.11.04 (9 days and like ~30 minutes), is this one.

Personally I think that the more informal nature of where I would be working, and the fact that this is Oregon, will greatly work in my favor. From what I have seen there is no dress code, the shop is a steel structure with 3 van/trucks and a bunch of parts on shelves and the floor (the largest shelf in a building), and a very small single width manufactured building, and when I did a favor/temp job for the guy he had me borrow his pickup to haul some trash and black pipe from Western Oregon University to the shop. It took three trips and close to four hours while he was working at a house they were plumbing.
Once again, this is a son-in-law of an elder of my church and previous temporary employer where I helped him wire (he is an electrition) and dig out a small wine celler for his new home and helped him move the junk out of his old garage and basement. The son-in-law just wants to hire someone to run around and pickup parts while his guys are out working. If I were working at the local credit union I don't think I would bring up kilt wearing for a couple of months, or at least until I felt confident enough that I could jump through the hoops with out a hassle.
