Glenmorangie has a selection of wood finishes that are very tasty, including a sherry, a burgundy, a madiera (my favorite), and a port finish. These sell for about $50 to $60 in my neck of the woods and are really very enjoyable: I tend towards the sherry finish on the river, port in the winter or late evening, and the madiera whenever I can. Some of my favorite scotches are the Glenmorangies and Macallans, so my opinion may be a bit biased-take with a grain of salt.
Bryan...I freely admit I've spent considerably more than that on a bottle, though...

I have a bottle of 12 year Dalmore, a bottle of 12 Highland Park, and a bottle of 15 Dalwhinnie on my wish list right now. As soon as the birthday season is over, they will all be sitting in my collection.
