What are YOU wearing? or Show me your and I'll show you mine!

OK, I am new to wearing the kilt, but loving every minute of it(see some of my other threads and mu sig regarding the office!). Anyway, I am not as well kilt endowed as Ham, or even Graham or Ron, but I still want to desire to wear one as often as possible, especially as I can't wear one to work at present. My question is what everyone is wearing while sitting in front of the keyboard at night (or the day I suppose) and responding to Xmarks? I only have 2 kilts, a Sportkilt in gun metal gray and a standard StillWater. The SW I strictly wear when I am going out of the house as it seems to dressy for me to wear while answering e-mail. The SK does not seem too dressy, but the pleats need a touch up almost every day when worn that often. It also seems to need a washing more often than I expected, maybe because of the fabric?

Anyway, I guess I want to know if those that have embraced the kilted lifestyle wear one "24x7" (or whenever they are dressed) and if so, have they chosen a more casual kilt (like a king kilt) for the times that a pair of athletic shorts or other similar loose fitting garments would be worn, or are wearing a casual ($100 UK, SK, etc..) or their traditional kilt?

    Thanks!

Okay.I'm a landscape designer/forman,and I wear kilts six days a week.I currently have one workmans UK,three standerd stillwaters(blackwatch),and two HW stillwaters-a wool blackwatch and a black (shadow tarten). Why Stillwaters? Simply because they're inexpensive and I'm working outdoors.I don't have to worry about ruining a much more expensive kilt.I'm getting ready to order one or two 8 yard kilts for more formal use and one more HW wool Stillwater for winter. My first winter in a kilt should prove interesting indeed. The SW's are also good when I go casual.Sunday is about the only day I don't go kilted,I don't have a kilt suitable for church yet.

As I respond with this post, I'm sitting in underwear and a t-shirt... something I'm prone to do in summer weather. Actually, I wear trousers most of the time.

I think I hold as much passion for kilts as the next guy... but I, for one, do NOT wear kilts full time... nor do I feel compelled to do so. I have no problem with those that do but that's just not my MO. I do, however, reserve the right to wear a kilt whenever and wherever I see fit. And while I don't consider the decision to wear a kilt as a "lifestyle" change, I believe it has changed my life for the better. I've actually been wearing kilts less since my daughters wedding. But so what! I'm passed the point of having something to prove to people anyway. Each of us will celebrate kilts in our own way... some of us just tend to celebrate a bit more than others!

I do wear kilts most of the time. I don't, if I know I'm going to be on a greasy floor, underneath something that may leak oil or coolant. In that case, I will definitely be wearing either a pair of dingy jeans or a pair of shorts. At work, I don't dare wear anything but some kind of kilt. Therefore, it really depends on my mood. Past few weeks, I felt like going tartan. So, I wore my traditional tanks. This week, I'm donning the UK's. Will be wearin' em until Thursday, when it will be definitely time to bring out the cold weather gear.

Right this very minute I'm wearing my black Original UK. Been wearing it 90% of the day today except for when I was on my motorcycle.

I am not allowed to wear a kilt at work as we have very strict uniform dress codes, but I do wear a kilt about 75% of the time that I'm not at work. I have 5 different kilts to choose from.

Am wearing shorts at present (yes yes, my condolences also). I do only own two kilts: a two-tone PK and a nice FK(which I have reason to suspect is either guilty of shrinking or me growing...I think the solution will be getting another). In all honesty, over the last month the PK has been getting more sun (especially at school). But there's a new student at my school who busted out his green FK after seeing me about, he said, and hopefully he might join the boards also (Cedric, if you're out there, give me a holler). MY wish list has another FK and hopefully one or two USAKs on it though

I have been kilted almost full-time since May. I live in NorCal, so the weather is pretty moderate. I have not had to deal with rain or bad weather yet. I wear a uniform at work and jump into a kilt when I get home. I have worn pants/shorts vary rarely in the past 4 to 5 months.

Right now, I am wearing a brand-new royal blue UK Spartan (that arrived today). As of today, I have a total of 10 kilts. 5 UKs (Spartan, 2 mockers, neo-trad and brand new workman's), a blue twill PK, a chocolate brown corduroy PK (arrived Friday), a digital camo twill SportKilt, a black poly-viscose traditional and a wool tank in MacDonald Modern tartan from Geofrey.

I owned the tank for about 4 years, wearing it just once or twice a year for fests. After starting to wear a kilt regularly, I have started adding about 2 kilts a month. The kilt I wear most is my khaki tan UK mocker. The one I wear least is the camo SportKilt, which is really a joke... shallow pleats, no swing or drape. I just wore it around the house... or at least I did before I got my new UK Spartan!!

Since I am about ready for bed, I am......let's not go there.

I am fortunate that kilts are an everyday occurance to me. I have been known to wear thos things we call trousers from time to time, but I was helping a friend move, and he lived on the third floor (no elevator).

Other than my USAK and a couple other tradional cut kilts I have several casuals, 2 denim, 2 cotton Black watch and 1 Dress Gordon. I wear the casuals around the house and while at the computer. The Cameron military kilt I have is way too heavy for that, it's seriously a winter weather kilt.

I wake up in the morning and put on my UK spartan (pajama kilt), whenever I finally get dressed that day, I put on what ever kilt I need/want depending on what I'm doing, get home in the evening (usualy around 10:30), put the Spartan back on. Wearing it now.
