90% of the time I'm not working I'm in a kilt of one kind or another. Several UK's (but no more of those), AK's, a half dozen full on woolies, and my latest favorite--the PK.

I work from home, tool and die design and 3d modeling, so I am kilted most of the day. About the only time wear trousers is when visiting clients. A funny bit the other day, my new neighbors said they aren't sure if they can do yard work as they have no kilts to wear. My kilts are (5)l UK's, a couple of Stillwater standards, an ALexis Malcolm USMC tartan and 2 Sportkilts. I use the Sportkilts for around the house wear or as I am now sitting at the 'puter. For real comfort I also wear a Kokoi from FabricAfrica.com

I don't wear kilts at work (I'd force the issue, but this office is messed up enough without me rocking the boat by wearing kilts - they actually complained because one of our IT guys wore jeans over here when he was installing new PCs and such) but I do wear them at all other times possible.

I have a khaki original UK and a Kiltstore casual Clark Ancient kilt. I wear the UK more than the other, but I do wear the casual when I'm out somewhere nice - for dinner, church, what have you. I need more...

They better not let the IT guys find out who complained about the jeans of those people will find themselves at the bottom of the list when they have problems. It just ain't smart to piss off the IT guys.

I only wear a UK at work, because our dress code says we have to wear khaki. In any case, it's probably a good idea because I work in a bar/restaurant, and the kilt's pretty dingy after a year of working there.

Other than that, I don't worry much about what I'm wearing. I have a second UK, but I've also worn my wool "tank" while woodworking, painting (though this probably wasn't the best idea), and hiking and backpacking. I did wear a casual kilt (a four-yard Bear Kilt) for my Appalachian Trail thru-hike, but after seeing how well it survived the trip (good enough for another 5,000+ miles of hiking, in my estimate) I wouldn't feel bad about wearing a wool kilt for a long, abusive hike like that. Heck, I spent almost as much on my sleeping bag as I did on my tank.

I think what it comes down to is, now that I own an expensive kilt, I don't think about how much it originally cost me. Sure, I'm cautious about it, but I don't worry too much about doing just about anything in it. I suppose if I had two "tanks" I wouldn't worry about anything at all. I'd save one for the best occasions, and wear the other for rolling about the mud in.

    It's been tried, trust me.

The department is small enough that such a thing would be obvious real quick and the head of the department would come down hard. Plus our IT manager is a nice guy, but a little bit easy to push around, especially if you're above him in the pecking order.

It's one of the reasons our IT department has such high turnover.

I prefer kilts to shorts or trousers but going 24/7 isn't practical for me at this point.

At home bumming around I'll be in my Navy Stewart Sport Kilt.

My USA Kilt Gordon Modern is my dressier kilt for the office and social events short of a wedding funeral or ...

I had a UK Survival which was nice but weighed a ton so I hocked it on ebay to finance a PK Forest MarPat which is still in production. This will become my outdoors kilt.

I don't see a Tank in my future but I expect to begin working on a home made wool in the near future.

I have two Macneil tartaned wool casual kilts a USA traditional in Modern Gordon and three sport kilts. I don't wear kilts every day, except for the Sks around the house. I would like to go kilted more, but I stay around my home a lot, especially since the price of gas has skyrocketed. Right now I'm wearing a cheap cotton SK.

I'm at work in my Khaki UK Mocker. I've been kilted full time for about two months or so, except for a motorcycle ride or two and yoga class.

I've got this Mocker, and Olive Original UK, a standard Nightstalker SWK, a brand new AK in Putty, a black Mocker on order (due any day) and just ordered a Graphite Bull Denim PK.

I can't wear the kilt at work, other than that it's all I wear. Even when I'm on my motorcycle I have a kilt on under my riding gear. I wear a Stillwater budget kilt or utilikilt for yard work. If I'm camping or out on the river with my Brother-in-law I wear a Neokilt. My daily wear kilt around the house or running errands right now is a Bear kilt. I wear the Bear kilt or one of my USA kilts out on the town and my wool tank or my Matt Newsome box kilt for more formal things like church or family dinners.
