I have, but not on my own bike. Also, I did try the kilt indoors on a trainer, just too much fabric flopping around even without a breeze. I could maybe see it on a low bottom bracket recumbent, but mine has the cranks a couple inches above seat height.
Having just finished cutting my grass kilted. With the amount of acorns that are coming off the oak trees, I'm thinking that maybe cutting this time of year might it might be better to wear a strong pair of jeans. Or maybe a 2 pair of socks with taller boots.

Don't panic!!!I'm a landscaper and I'm kilted daily at work.When I'm running a trimmer,edger or anything that throws stuff around I simply wear a pair of knee-high hiking gaiters.Their also useful around low growing shrubery,roses, anything with thorns or anything you want to avoid contact with.Also usefull in tall grass and weeds.
So far the only thing I've found I can't do kilted is swim.
