I wouldn't wear one in public, being basically pajama material, but for around the house they sure look comfy. Three of their flannel team tartans - Wolverines, Ducks, and Fightin' Tigers - are on sale for $34.50 right now.

UK original
I wear the UK original. Don't worry too much about the pleats. I also wear it gardening. It seems to wash well.

My Stillwater standard, UK original, my tank, or sweatshorts, although not necessarily in that order: it just depends on what I had on that day, more than anything.
Bryan...and if I plan to do anything *else* that day...

I don't have any problems with the pleats on a UK either, but tend to wear the spartan at home because it is lighter.

I was aware of Sport Kilts, but went back to their site to look at them again based on these recommends.
I think I'll order one today!

housewares...
I agree, my regular wear kilts get mussed when lounging, so here's how I handle it:
1. a sarong.... if it's coming loose or sliding off the tum as you say, try wearing it another way. You can fold it double and wrap it like a kilt then fold down the top about two inches then fold down again and that is pretty secure AND comfortable. Another way is to tie a corner to a point about a 30cm in along the other edge and pull the excess under then out the top (can't explain better, but might could find a pic).. VERY secure, but not as comfy.
2. buy the Stillwater Economy. It's useless for wearing about town but it won't ever wrinkle and can take abuse. I had mine altered by having the edges of the pleats sewn to keep crisp and had them sewn down over the hips to give the kilt some shape. Still a crap kilt, but it no longer looks like a shapeless skirt and like I said. It won't wrinkle.
3. draw the blinds and go nekkid, always the best way to beat the summer heat!

I sure it's over share, but the wife and I have a 2 minute rule, we’re out of clothing within 2 minutes of returning home. Yet with the rising fuel costs we may be turning the thermostat cooler this winter. I hand made the first 2 kilts that I own, so when I saw that we could see a possible 47% increase in natural gas this winter I thought of some sort of “house kilt”. Still not sure if I am going to sew one up, if so it would be in flannel.
