I have a couple of pairs which I bought because of the colour range available. However, like Ron, I find them too 'see through' to wear pulled up and so only sport them rolled/folded down. They're quite good for the price but I would not go out of my way to buy more 'tube-style' hose.

Well, that is quite a faux paus! Obviously my mind was on something else when posting this!

Calves was the intended body part, and no I can not pull the SK hose up over my thighs, and I think I have enough fashion sense not to try

So now the question becomes, "when you do is it thigh highs, garter belt or like Graham...tights?"

Back on track, I have found that with the SK hose if they aren't pulled and stretched quite as much they don't thin out badly at all. I'm somewhere between 6'1" and 6"6" depending on which conveniance store door I'm standing by and they are long enough for me to pull them just over the curve of my calf. Once there I have enough to make one 2.5-3 inch roll, any more than that and I start getting the thin look also.

Like someone already said, it's not really noticable from normal viewing distance.

Hopefully we have prevented an unwary soul from doing this! Could you imagine??!!

And just to add another note (now that I have clarified how high up I wear them!), they did fine for my first office kilting, but for the office I found the foot part, which is thicker than the tube section that covers the calf, to be too thick. My feet were too warm and sweating all day.
