					Hell-o all,
I am just wondering of all the celtic heros of the past be they fact, legend, or myth; who is the one that inspires you the most?

I'll start the game and say that mine is Brian Boru, the great High King of Ireland because he not only unified all the kingdoms of Ireland, he was very much a renaissance man who loved not only poetry, but music as well.

I have many others but Brian Boru always comes to the top of my list.

					Hmm tough choice.
But I'll take a crack at it and offer something that I bet nobody else would think of, what, with all these manly men like Wallace and all these mighty warriors.

I don't know about inspires, but I like the stories of Cúchulainn. He got the name Cú Chulainn (Culann's Hound) because as a child he killed Culann the Smith's watchdog in self-defense, and took the obligation of guarding the smith in the dog's stead while a replacement hound was raised and trained.
His most famous feat was in the Táin Bó Cúailnge, single-handedly holding off the armies of Queen Mebd. A curse inflicted every fighting man of Ulster so they could not fight, but Cúchulainn was born outside of Ulster, so he wasn't affected. He held off the army for months until the Ulstermen could rally and Mebd was forced to retreat.

I would've picked Brian boru as well, but since GMan beat me to the punch I'll go a bit further back and name Vercingetorix, who united most of the Gauls against Caesar's invading armies.
Bryan...do we see a common thread, here?

					Hmm...tough question.
I would say my favourite story would be that of St. Columba and the Loch Ness Monster, the first documented "Nessie" sightning in history! ;)

There are so many to choose from, but my number one pick would have to be:

 Robert Burns
