House of Edgar retains the copyright on any tartan created by their design service. If you have them weave your design and have a copyright you retain all rights.

No offense intended bubba, but this is something that needs to be stated by House of Edgar (although I don't see it happening). The lack of clarity in their copyright restriction statement (and lack of response explaining it) is precisely why I chose not to do business with this mill. Again, I don't mean to insult the mill owners---I simply suggest there are alternatives to them.
