I had the misfortune of winning an eBay auction for a TM kilt. The quality is low. The measurements were off. You get what you pay for ... in this case, a pretty cheesy kilt.

I've read comments in other forums (maybe this forum, too), and my experience with Thump Music is not unique.

If you're okay with that, go ahead and bid (probably at 2-4" above your regular waist measurement). Just don't, like, get into a bidding war with someone; these kilts just aren't worth it.
Ugly Bear has pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Unless you're built like a block (no butt/hips) these things just don't hang right. The waist sizing is essentially identical to the "breech," and any time you cinch one up more than the other, you will have "bunchage" of fabric.

If you're curious about these, I think you can find one even cheaper than thumpmusic's, and from what I have read in other locations, this seller is a good one to give a wide berth.

Good luck, keeping searching. Sometimes there are some real wool kilts that come up for sale on ebay in the size range that you are probably looking at, so I'd recommend saving up a couple of hundred, and trying that route. But, if you must, then I wish you best o' luck. . .
