Pittsburgh Kilts: Yay or nay?

What kind of twill is it? Cotton, Wool, polyester? Twill is the weave of the fabric, not the material. What's been said so far covers it.

Bubba, please don't jump to conclusions: I know what twill is. If you re-read the first sentence at the beginning of this thread, you'll find the answer to your questions there.

Sorry about that, I forgot. Cotton twill will behave much like denim. The only difference will be in the hand of the fabric, ie, how soft or stiff it is. Either way cotton does need a regular touch up with the iron. The other guys have commented on the workmanship aspect of a PK.

I own a heavy brushed twill PK. Yay or nay? YAY! YAY! and again YAY! Wonderful crafstmanship and very comfortable. I had a watch pocket built into mine and he worked with me on the design to make it work. The only problem with my PK is that I only have one of them.

Okay, hopefully I got the images to work, so here are some pictures.


This is the Arctic Denim, which is lined with flannel. Very heavy, very warm. Detachable cargo pockets.


Here's the suede. Has front pockets and a rear pocket.


The Araich. Altered traditional design (with quick-release clips instead of straps & buckles), single front pocket, rear pocket, and the under-apron pocket has a zipper.


The Rob Roy. My favorite kilt. Possibly the only tartan kilt Jeff has made.

Do Not have any doubt, this man makes a good kilt!!!!

I got to touch and look closely at Jeff's work and got to ask as many questions as I could think of. I was impressed.
