Sport Kilt actually has a pretty well-priced silver-and-leather sporran. It's pretty thin so you can't fit much in it, but since you have a jacket, the pockets there make up the difference.

Thanks Andrew for the link, judging from the photos they do seem as cheap as they are. I'd like to see one close up first. The description says " featuring leather designs and metal studs." I wonder if the whole sporran is leather.

Looking good there Graham, that's a great looking jacket and it looks like it fits to a T. Did I miss something? Is one of your kids getting married? (I'm slow catching up on this as usual, only having access to the internet a lunch time makes it hard to keep up)

I've been wanting a jacket for some time myself. I take it you're well pleased with the service you got. Is your jacket "off the rack" or did you have it altered? Does it have the gauntlet cuff or the more contemporary spot coat type cuff?

Yes Jamie, my eldest daughter is marrying in South Australia to a nice young man who is at University studying Astro-Physics (my favourite topic - kidding)

The jacket is just off the shelf with plain sleeves. Since it's the first time I have bought a jacket I was pleased that the fit was right.

The only two suits I own are a wet suit and a dry suit for diving

I have found a green silk tie, as per Hamish's advice, it comes from http://www.foxandchave.co.uk/home.htm
£18 is that too dear Hamish?

I just need to find a sporran now, if not I'll wear the Rkilts one in the piccie.

Graham, that jacket looks great on you. I assume you bought the one that includes the waistcoat? I'm considering ordering one also. Here in the USA, the prices are listed as anywhere from $224 for just an "off the rack" jacket to just under $300 for a custom made one. Do you have any idea how the lengths run? I'm not sure what a short, medium or long means as far as actual measured length. Anyone else who looks at this reply, do you have any idea what the import charge for this item would be over here. I own a Scottishkilts kilt and I don't recall having to pay a large import charge on it.

well I was a wee bit dissappointed to get a seperate bill from UPS for over $60AUD for shipping I think.

size, I just measured my chest and arm length as per the instructions on their website. I am 40 short (actually, I'm 53 handsome, but they didn't have a slot for that)

The sizing reflects the sleeve length and the back of the jacket. Mine was a 52 long (I'm 6'4 after all).

When I got my jacket and waistcoat, I had to pay around $32 Canadian for customs upon delivery. Not that bad considering it was still around $75 cheaper than just the jacket at my local shop (and I got a waistcoat with it )

Well congratulations to you, your Daughter and her intended! From the picture of you in your jacket and pictures of your family I've seen earlier I'm sure that this will be an impressively handsome wedding party.
