I am waiting too! In all probability, it is sitting on a shelf in a British Customs & Excise warehouse whilst someone calculates an exhorbitant and unjust total of import duties and taxes I shall be obliged to pay prior to delivery!

By the way folks, I apologise for my overlong absence from this, and other, forums. The truth is I have been away for a wonderful weekend in Cardiff, Wales, staying with Derek and Elaine. I took four kilts to wear whilst there - and came home with five! Yes, I collected a Welsh cilt, in the St. David's or Welsh National tartan (Brithwe Dewi Sant) which I had previously ordered on-line!! Photos and details later. For a couple of days I have been experiencing connection problems with the Internet and have been unable to reach "X Marks...", so I have a mass of posts with which to catch up in the days ahead. Bear with me and I'll be back soon!

[Note to Hank: That makes it "56 kilts and counting"! ;) ]

    Got it Hamish!

I got my sample of the tartan today and it is quite spectacular! The first thing my wife said was, "I want a skirt made out of that!"

    It looks awsome!

There was a comment made about double jonesing earlier, how bout this...
I now have my order of the tartan in my hands but can't do anything with it. Since I quit smoking in July my weight is doing a yo-yo thing so I don't want to have a kilt made until it settles down.
So now I have to look at this great tartan and "not" have a kilt made from it. sheesh.

Got an email from Kathy Lare today. She received the X Marks tartan fabric with no extra customs charges from the U.S. or Canada.

She'll be sewing up my X Marks kilt and vest in a few days.

Is anyone else still awaiting delivery of their "X Marks..." tartan? Did anyone else outside of North America order it? There is still no sign of my kilt length arriving here at my address in the United Kingdom. Please don't suggest to me that it is lying at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean!

Mine's in North America...Albuquerque to be exact...waiting to be sewn up by Kathy Lare. She emailed me that it arrived at her place the last week of August - if that helps.

Sadly, she also emailed me she got swamped with orders and had a wedding to sew up... the X Marks was due to be sewn after all the wedding kilts...nearly three weeks ago...so I'm VERY hopeful that it won't be much longer.
